Our Preschool Programme at The Doors of Knowledge Academy (DOKA) provides a nurturing environment where children develop academically, socially and emotionally while being raised upon the principles of Islam.

Through play-based, hands-on and purposeful learning, children develop confidence, curiosity, independence and the foundational skills needed for future academic success.

Islamic Curriculum

Our Islamic curriculum is rooted in the Qur’aan and authentic Sunnah, with teachings presented in an age-appropriate and engaging manner.

Children are introduced to:

• Qur’aan Memorisation: Memorisation of selected surahs and understanding their meanings.

• Aqeedah: Learning the fundamentals of Islamic belief from the Qur’aan and Sunnah upon the understanding of the Salaf as-Saalih.

• Seerah & Hadith: Learning from the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and authentic hadith.

• Adhkaar & Du’aa: Learning and understanding daily supplications and remembrances.

• Islamic Manners & Character: Developing sincerity, kindness, honesty, respect and good manners.

• Arabic: Building vocabulary and developing foundational Arabic reading and pronunciation skills through the Qaa’idah.

Islam is integrated throughout the school day, helping children develop a strong connection to Allah ﷻ and His revelation.

Academic Curriculum

Our academic programme follows a modified Trinidad and Tobago ECCE curriculum, integrating academic learning with Islamic values.

Key areas include:

• Personal, social and emotional development

• Life skills and independence

• Language and literacy

• Early reading and phonics

• Mathematical concepts

• Knowledge and understanding of the world

• Physical and fine motor development

• Creative development

Children engage in thematic and project-based learning, allowing them to make connections between different areas of knowledge while exploring concepts through practical and meaningful experiences.

Programme Information & Fees​

• Age: 3–4 years

• School Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

• Registration Fee: $175

• Termly Tuition: $3,200

• Monthly Tuition: $950, payable over 11 months (September–July)

Additional Services & Extracurricular Options

• Before Care: Optional early drop-off from 7:30 a.m. — $400 per term

• Swimming: Weekly swimming during school hours — $450 per term
